Public Transportation
As our region continues to grow, the North Central Texas Council of Governments staff coordinates with local governments and transportation providers, to collaborate on public transportation planning, funding, and operations.
Together with regional transportation stakeholders, staff identify opportunities to enhance services and improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the current transit system in the region for all transit users.
Supporting small transit providers in rural communities and coordinating high-capacity urban rail and bus systems, our programs prioritize accessibility and equity for all residents. This regional approach allows the region to adapt to changing travel patterns while maintaining a safe, reliable, and connected public transportation infrastructure connecting people across North Texas.
